Well, they'll be available at craft shows near you if you live in Oklahoma... I will be featuring Jenny Cosmonaut, her ally Jenny Moon, and their space rivals in a series of colored pencil and ink drawings. Will the Jennys rid space of sinister wrong-doing? Can they keep the Red Mars Monkeys from slinging their own poo at astral bodies? Stay tuned to this blog and my Facebook page <a href="https://www.facebook.com/SendAmyBellOver">https://www.facebook.com/SendAmyBellOver</a> to find out...</div>

I sold 11 Lucky Pete dolls, 1 Voodoo Doll, and 1 Embroidered Sugar Skull. On top of that, my nephews Trey and Cole got to come see what their crazy aunt does with her arts and crafts. I hope they had as much fun as I did! Along with my application, I must also turn in notes from local business mangers/owners that grant me permission to display my arts and crafts items on the sidewalks in front of their buildings. I am happy to report Stillwater is overrun with some very generous and helpful people who have given me the green light. So, when I get the permit, I will be setting up my displays (on the occasional Saturday afternoon) downtown in front of Crafty Concepts, Finnegan's Pub, or the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. I will also try to set up (most likely on game days) at the corner of Miller and Duck alongside the Casa Mia Apartments. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpXo-yIyNOXpncCUJNbu89P1W3Y-VVQxQiOjlXTdhkjeWFIc0SwfkmI-ZdAlv3MAOPG5tKuARc_trdOuAOyCTgylYFdPF3F0mur_N54tN8uTn29rmKUbHfcKoDUqsBvwKSjHCtURyrG8lI/s1600/distance+view.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="230" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpXo-yIyNOXpncCUJNbu89P1W3Y-VVQxQiOjlXTdhkjeWFIc0SwfkmI-ZdAlv3MAOPG5tKuARc_trdOuAOyCTgylYFdPF3F0mur_N54tN8uTn29rmKUbHfcKoDUqsBvwKSjHCtURyrG8lI/s320/distance+view.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>send amybell overhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06916950531368030610noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3238563473689979140.post-7318960664108917882011-10-01T15:46:00.000-07:002011-10-01T16:51:32.398-07:00Goin' Mobile (Maybe???)<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: white; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 14px;">Hmm, I'm thinking of takin' my crazy art to the mean streets of Stillwater. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My husband Pete and I dragged ourselves out of bed this morning at 6:30 a.m. to scour a couple of garage sales, a flea market, and a few thrift stores for treasures. We actually found a lot of cool things to dig through. I guess the unseasonably warm temperatures we had in the last part of February have propelled some people into spring cleaning mode. So, thank you early spring weather for the opportunity to buy cheap, groovy stuff! The group of things I have pictured above set me back a whopping $3.30, and it consists of...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1. As the backdrop, a shocking pink, 1960's smock.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2. A vintage photo of some ladies lounging on a lake shore.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
3. Approximately 2 1/2 yard of brown calico fabric.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
4. An early 1900's etched glass tumbler.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
5. The Bloomingdale's Book of Entertaining-- full of tips from 1973 New York's social elite. In case you were wondering, yes, Geoffrey Holder (the guy in the 1970's 7-Up commercials) was included in this exclusive group. Mr. Holder strongly emphasized serving rum at parties, however, he never mentioned the uncola in this book.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
6. A copper colored, cast metal statuette of The Empire State Building.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
By the way, Pete's find of the morning was the $5 scanner I used to scan the vintage photograph. Thanks Pete, you always find the best electronics bargains! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I wanted to challenge myself to experience absolutely no stress while making something. For this project, I banned myself from spending too much time fussing over details and worrying about end results. I only spent an hour or so spontaneously creating this collage, and I had a great time! Without intending to do so, however, I seem to have channeled some amazing advancements to the field of physics. If wormholes actually exist in spacetime, wouldn't it be logical to assume they were created by spaceworms? And, if space was a garden, wouldn't stars be the flowers? I hope there are some physicists out there who will read this (or simply view my artwork) and appreciate the impact my theories will have on science! </div>send amybell overhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06916950531368030610noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3238563473689979140.post-44080636394997336662011-02-09T09:51:00.000-08:002011-02-09T10:26:19.951-08:00My Last Snow Day Project<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4OADKjD940xkMTVGFcKprRXBlnWmy1S2CGYgoMPmifH1YZWXbEwwmaxRPMtEI42cAAfNK4ILHQixqgmSFvtTbBO72bk0g1RMmuVYVwaneCfPleVgAwvXc3NKENen4ZKXyq3DqRwkx9VMz/s1600/Pincushions2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="281" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4OADKjD940xkMTVGFcKprRXBlnWmy1S2CGYgoMPmifH1YZWXbEwwmaxRPMtEI42cAAfNK4ILHQixqgmSFvtTbBO72bk0g1RMmuVYVwaneCfPleVgAwvXc3NKENen4ZKXyq3DqRwkx9VMz/s320/Pincushions2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Well, during the last snowstorm, I made some pincushions. So I'm snowed in again today, and I'm thinking of starting a painting. I've had this crazy urge lately to paint a portrait of George Michael from Wham. Why??? I have no clue!!! Oh well, we'll see... Sorry to leave you hanging on like a yo-yo. </div>send amybell overhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06916950531368030610noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3238563473689979140.post-67764637052103904662011-02-07T17:00:00.000-08:002011-02-07T17:00:54.805-08:00Looky Loo Debut<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizbGT7_Ym684dc0I8IT5QJijMBocQGq1Y2QvPruFnqkuDO2j_dWfJhvzIdkpGT1zkvlU2rT-xUFjnBVhjzdEGpaG9UMdCYs0X0ElwTHoKxHyO0L5ibBh42VIc7a3Bc4u6aZHtqgLIVnL_0/s1600/Looky+Lou.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="168" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizbGT7_Ym684dc0I8IT5QJijMBocQGq1Y2QvPruFnqkuDO2j_dWfJhvzIdkpGT1zkvlU2rT-xUFjnBVhjzdEGpaG9UMdCYs0X0ElwTHoKxHyO0L5ibBh42VIc7a3Bc4u6aZHtqgLIVnL_0/s320/Looky+Lou.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
Check 'em out, they're my new Looky Loo dolls! They only have eyes on their sweet little faces, hence the name. They are made from salvaged pillow ticking and vintage buttons. Each Loo also sports a patch or two, plus a little heart! What a cute Valentine's Day gift they'd make! Their bodies measure approximately 7" x 8 1/2" (their arms and legs are about 2" long), and Gumby was the inspiration for the shape of the their heads! I'm currently selling these guys at the Antique Mall in Stillwater for a mere $10.00 each, but they may soon appear in my Etsy shop at <a href="http://www.etsy.com/people/SendAmyBellOver">http://www.etsy.com/people/SendAmyBellOver</a>... send amybell overhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06916950531368030610noreply@blogger.com2
